About the Role
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive Chili’s marketing strategies and business decisions. This position requires strong expertise in marketing data analysis, the ability to extract data from multiple platforms, and the capability to create compelling data visualizations that communicate insights effectively.
You will work closely with PPC, SEO, Sales, and Operations teams, supporting both client-facing reports and internal dashboard maintenance to ensure data accuracy, transparency, and accessibility.
A strong understanding of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) is a major advantage, as you’ll be expected to provide insights into customer behavior, funnel performance, and testing strategies that improve conversion rates.
Ultimately, the main goal of the BI Analyst at Chili is to leverage data to optimize marketing performance, enhance conversion rates, and improve decision-making by:
- Extracting and analyzing marketing data from platforms like GA4, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and CRMs (HubSpot, RD Station, etc.).
- Building and maintaining dashboards that visualize KPIs for PPC, SEO, and Sales performance.
- Providing data-driven recommendations that improve paid media ROI, organic traffic growth, and sales pipeline efficiency.
- Developing insights that directly support CRO efforts, helping refine A/B tests, landing pages, and user journey optimizations.
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity, implementing best practices in data management.
In Detail:
Data Extraction & Analysis
- Pull data from multiple sources, including ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, programmatic platforms), SEO tools (GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs), and CRMs (HubSpot, RD Station).
- Analyze multi-channel marketing performance to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for optimization.
- Work with sales data to assess lead quality, attribution models, and conversion rates.
Dashboard Development & Data Visualization
- Design and maintain dashboards using BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio).
- Ensure dashboards provide clear, actionable insights tailored to different teams (PPC, SEO, Sales, Operations).
- Automate data reporting processes for efficiency.
Data Storytelling & Strategy Alignment
- Translate complex datasets into compelling narratives that drive decision-making.
- Present reports in client meetings and internal strategy sessions, ensuring stakeholders understand key performance trends and opportunities.
- Provide data-backed recommendations on how to improve campaigns and business processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support the PPC team with performance tracking, audience insights, and budget allocation strategies.
- Assist the SEO team by identifying ranking trends, traffic performance, and content opportunities.
- Work with the Sales team to improve lead attribution and optimize sales pipeline tracking.
- Maintain internal reporting for Operations, ensuring team KPIs and company-wide performance metrics are clearly visualized.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Support
- Analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, and A/B testing results to identify friction points.
- Work with marketing teams to optimize landing pages and ad creatives based on data insights.
- Help track and refine lead nurturing sequences in CRMs to improve close rates.
Data Integrity & Compliance
- Regularly audit data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Implement data governance best practices to ensure consistent reporting.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a BI Analyst or Marketing Analyst role, preferably within a digital marketing agency or performance marketing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Marketing, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads, HubSpot, RD Station, and other marketing platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio).
- Experience with SQL for querying datasets is a plus.
- Understanding of multi-touch attribution models and assisted conversions.
- Strong grasp of PPC and SEO KPIs, campaign performance tracking, and audience segmentation.
- Experience with A/B testing, funnel analysis, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Familiarity with lead scoring models, CRM automation, and sales analytics.
- Excellent storytelling ability – can present data in an engaging, clear, and persuasive manner.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
