About the Role


The Head of Paid Media plays a key role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Chili's execution strategies for our clients. This position requires strong expertise across multiple media channels, particularly Google Ads and Meta Ads, and to develop omnichannel strategies that include programmatic, native ads, affiliates, display, and more.

You will be responsible for leading the execution team, ensuring alignment with the best industry best practices, Chili´s performance-driven culture, and client objectives. You will also be involved daily with large client accounts, especially those just starting with Chili, to ensure a smooth, contextualized onboarding for future account owners.

You will report directly to our Head of Growth and be responsible for driving Chili's own lead generation growth.

Ultimately, the main goal of the Head of Paid Media at Chili is to ensure excellence in final delivery by:

  • Ensuring full utilization of all channels, tools, and resources.
  • Training and guiding analysts to stay ahead of new strategies and analyses, ensuring 100% adherence to internal processes.
  • Aligning paid media activities with client objectives and commitments outlined in contracts, while ensuring that everyone (including yourself) has an in-depth understanding of the products they are promoting.
  • Becoming a reference point and motivator for a CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) and Data Analysis culture throughout Chili.
  • Overseeing connections and reporting to clients, and presenting work concisely in weekly and monthly meetings.


In Detail:

  • Ensure we are using all channels, tools, and resources to their full potential.
  • Be or become an expert in all paid media channels we currently use or plan to use.
  • Learn and implement new techniques to drive growth.
  • Define and apply best practices for AxB tests, ad tests, keyword negativations, banner tests, etc.
  • Constantly seek ways to optimize campaigns, increasing volume and lowering CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost).
  • Manage and analyze multi-level conversion funnels and attribution models to understand assisted conversions and evaluate the real value of each channel.
  • Train and guide analysts to stay ahead of new strategies, analyses, and ensure full compliance with internal processes.
  • Demonstrate the best optimization routines to the other analysts.
  • Monitor analysts' work and provide immediate feedback.
  • Support the Head of Growth by ensuring the team prioritizes and executes according to clients' strategic plans and media plans.
  • Ensure the team is fully utilizing our internal task creation and data analysis tools.
  • Ensure that paid media activities are aligned with client goals, and ensure that all team members have a deep understanding of the products they are selling.
  • Have full awareness and knowledge of our clients' products.
  • Ensure the entire team is aligned with Chili's objectives.
  • Ensure analysts understand why clients hire us and how we can achieve their goals only by deeply understanding their products.
  • Be a reference and motivator for CRO and Data Analysis culture across Chili.
  • You are the expert. Use your knowledge to inspire others in the team, guiding and helping them.
  • CRO and Data Analysis should be part of the culture, not a separate team. Ensure everyone is carrying out tasks and tests to create growth based on data.


Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience (preferably in startups & agencies).
  • Leadership experience in PPC processes, departmental targets, team KPIs, with more than 4 years of experience managing teams of 3+ subordinates, focusing on developing and building processes and skills.
  • Deep understanding of paid marketing and a wide variety of acquisition channels, especially Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
  • Experience in efficient collaboration with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • A user/client-centric mindset and a growth-driven approach.
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work autonomously.
  • A "whatever it takes" attitude and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage high performance within a team.
  • Solid business sense and an understanding of business metrics.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Ads campaign analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with advanced analytics software, ideally Looker (Tableau experience is also welcome). SQL skills are a plus.
  • Solid understanding of UX processes and design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced English (advanced Spanish is a plus).
  • Experience with client management, escalation resolution, and problem-solving.
