Finance Intern – Operations, FP&A & Automation

Chili Digital – Performance Marketing Agency

Chili Digital is a performance-driven digital marketing agency operating across Latin America and international markets. We specialize in SEO, Paid Media, CRO, BI, and data-driven growth strategies, supporting fast-growing companies with scalable and measurable marketing solutions.

As Chili continues to scale internationally, finance plays a critical role in ensuring financial control, predictability, and transparency across operations, teams, and client portfolios.

Why Join Chili Digital?

  • Gain hands-on experience in real operational finance, not just theory.

  • Work closely with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and financial visibility.

  • Learn how finance supports growth in an international, service-based business.

  • Develop skills in financial automation, dashboards, and process optimisation.

  • Exposure to Brazilian and international tax considerations.

  • Build a strong foundation for careers in Finance, FP&A, Controlling, or Operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Intern to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company while helping build scalable systems for forecasting, reporting, automation, and financial control.

This role goes beyond basic accounting support. You will work across accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, dashboards, and tax analysis, while collaborating with leadership, operations, and external accountants.

You will support decision-making by helping ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and visible.

Core Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP / AR)

  • Support the control and processing of accounts payable and receivable.

  • Track supplier invoices, subscriptions, tools, and recurring expenses.

  • Support client invoicing control and payment follow-ups.

  • Maintain organised records of payments, receipts, and contracts.

Daily Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy

  • Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and payment platforms.

  • Assist in identifying discrepancies and resolving inconsistencies.

  • Support cash flow visibility and short-term financial tracking.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Support monthly and quarterly budget tracking and forecasting.

  • Assist in monitoring actuals vs forecast and flagging deviations.

  • Help build financial models related to growth, hiring, and operational costs.

  • Support scenario analysis for new initiatives, tools, or projects.

Reporting, Dashboards & BI

  • Help build and maintain financial dashboards for leadership and teams.

  • Support visibility into:

    • Revenue

    • Costs

    • Margins

    • Cash flow

    • Portfolio profitability

  • Work with BI and Operations teams to ensure data consistency across systems.

Accountant & Tax Support (Brazil & International)

  • Prepare materials and data for monthly accountant control calls.

  • Support analysis related to Brazilian tax obligations and international operations.

  • Help organise documents for compliance, audits, and fiscal reporting.

  • Assist in understanding tax impact on pricing, margins, and international expansion.

Finance Automation & Process Improvement

  • Support automation of repetitive finance tasks (reconciliation, reporting, tracking).

  • Help improve financial workflows and documentation.

  • Assist in mapping and documenting finance SOPs for scalability.

What Else a Finance Intern Will Be Exposed To

In addition to the above, this role may also involve:

  • Subscription and tool cost management (SaaS stack analysis).

  • Support in pricing analysis and margin calculations for services.

  • Assisting with internal approval flows for expenses and purchases.

  • Supporting financial aspects of AI and automation projects.

  • Exposure to international payments, currency considerations, and FX impact.

  • Basic internal controls and compliance practices.

This ensures the intern gains a holistic view of finance inside a growing company, not just transactional tasks.

Requirements

  • Students from 2nd year onward in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Strong interest in financial operations, planning, and data analysis.

  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial logic.

  • High attention to detail and organisation.

  • Interest in automation, dashboards, and process improvement.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-financial stakeholders.

  • Advanced English required due to international operations and reporting.

  • Portuguese required; Spanish is a plus.

Profile We’re Looking For

  • Organised, methodical, and reliable.

  • Curious about how finance supports growth and strategy.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

  • Proactive and willing to question data that doesn’t make sense.

  • Interested in building systems, not just executing tasks.
